Summarising Target Audience Research

From the research that was conducted to help us with the decision making process of the film. We have decided to go with a film that three protagonists, two male and one female. They will be between the ages of 17 and 19 and they are all doing an apprentice at a police academy. They plot of the film is that they are given an old case that hasn't been solved and they are left to find the missing pieces to help solve the case.

The secondary research that was conducted showed that the typical audience of the film would expect male protagonists that are working for a type of government operation. An example of a film with this is James Bond: Casino Royale because the protagonist is a male who works for MI5, a government agency. The primary research can also back this up because over half of the participants wanted to see a male protagonist in the film (7 of 13). So from this information we have come to a decision that will satisfy our target audience because we took into account what they like to see in films and what they're preferable thriller would be.
